A Message From The Principal Print

We are off to a great start as we have established the theme of “ Building Leaders and Learners, one student at a time” here at Sheiko Elementary. Now that we are one big Sheiko family we have to learn how to operate together for the good of our students.

As we work out the kinks of everything that’s new, we appreciate your patience with the drop off and pick up routines. New bus routes, schools starting and ending at the same time are all things we are trying to navigate and work through along with you. Below are a few things that would be helpful to remember as we continue to get into a school-wide rhythm regarding routines

Morning routines- Parents using the drop off line should have students exit the cars from the left hand side. Students should have backpacks and necessary school items ready to go when it’s time for them to exit the car. All students enter the front door and proceed to their designated areas : Fifth grade students plus  Farrington, A. Thomas, Zawalski and Gartner/Lombardo report to the cafeteria. Fourth  grade students plus Earley, McDowell, Kirk and Essad report to the gym. Students must sit in their designated areas until they are released to their classrooms.

Afternoon Routines- Students are dismissed in waves, car riders are released first. We then began calling for buses. Please make sure your child knows their end of the day routine. This is extremely important for the safety of our students.

Something new at Sheiko this year is school breakfast. This is open to all students 8:05 – 8:20 a.m. please see the menu for breakfast pricing and selection items. Remember breakfast is an important start to a students day!

Looking forward to seeing you at conferences and remember to stop by our book fair.
