Attention Doherty Families and
Community:
The beautiful, warm March weather has brought an infestation of
Ground Bees to the Doherty School property. It was my
hope to be able to wait until Spring Break to treat the problem
with the proper pesticides. However, after assessing the situation
again yesterday, I feel that it is in the best interest of our
students and community to treat for the bees immediately.
The Doherty property will be treated for the Ground Bees
on Friday, March 23, 2012 after
school. The property will be safe for our students again
24 hours later, so when we return on Monday, students will be able
to use the playground as usual. We are posting the
required information (see reverse) on all doors for our parents and
community. Additionally, it will be available on both
the Doherty School websitewww.westbloomfield.k12.mi.us/doherty and
the West Bloomfield Website www.wbsd.org  .

Dear Doherty
Parents/Guardians,
Last year at this time the PTO
decided to start a Doherty Family Business Directory. In the
current economic times, we feel the need to implement new ways in
which we can help one another. Sharing information about Doherty
family businesses can help a Doherty parent/guardian in need of a
product or service and may help increase the business of another
Doherty parent/guardian. It becomes a win-win situation for both
parties. If you own your own business and/or are a service
provider, please complete the business information section below,
and we will include a listing for your business/service in the
directory. A copy of the Doherty Family Business Directory will be
kept in the Main Office at school and can be accessed by any
Doherty parent/guardian during regular office hours. In addition,
for those who may not be able to easily access the Doherty Family
Business Directory in the office during school hours, a copy will
be posted to the Doherty website.
If you submitted a listing for the
Directory last year, it will remain in the Directory for all future
years; you do not need to resubmit your information unless you need
to change your prior information.
